Ask Your Mom is a five piece band from Bedford, NY made up of Buz Abrams, Rob Cavenagh, Derek Correia, Rich De Palma and John Trumpbour.
Derek and Rob are the remaining founding members of the band started in 2005. Launched (like all good things) at a dinner party, we started with a few jam sessions that evolved into actually learning songs and playing with a drummer. Our first gig happened in March of 2006 – we played at a birthday party for our other founding member’s daughter.
Since that first gig we have played nearly 100 shows in NY, NJ and CT including two weddings and one outrageous gig opening for John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band at Norwalk Oyster Fest in front of tens of people.
